History

Wonder how Maple Bank Farm went through the past 292 years?

Hurlbut siblings circa 1916 Lewis and Alden with siblings hoeing corn.

1938-1975 Farm focused on more animals, 2500 chickens, turkeys, ducks, cows, apples, and several other crops.

The earlier farm stand often was on self-service until the very busy fall time with apples

Cathy and Howie Bronson stepped into the stewardship of the farm in 1980, adding greenhouses and more vegetable production.

2020 we were able to preserve the farm for generations to come and bring young people to carry on this stewardship of farming. Weontinog Land Trust, working with the state, helped facilitate this whole process.

2022-Kirby Peters worked with us in years past and is ready to step into operating this wonderful farm.
